A small studiowith a wide view
Pixelspective is a design and engineering studio in Accra. We take on fewer projects than an agency would, and see each one through from the first conversation to the system your team relies on every day.

Why we exist
Too many businesses here end up with software that was designed for somewhere else: dashboards that assume fibre, checkouts that ignore mobile money, and systems handed over without documentation by a vendor who has moved on.
We started Pixelspective to do the opposite. We build for the conditions our clients actually work in — mid-range phones, patchy data, mobile money — and we build it so they can own it. Fee collection that keeps working offline. School software that keeps every school's records sealed off from the next. A shop that put away its exercise books.
Our name is the point of view we bring: pixel-level care in the interface, and the wider perspective of how a system fits the way a business really runs.

The person you'll work with
Mark Okutu
Founder and lead developer
Mark founded Pixelspective to give businesses in Ghana the kind of software and websites usually reserved for much larger companies, built for how they really work. He leads every project personally, from the first call to launch.
His background spans software engineering, IT systems, graphic design and social media, so he thinks about a product the way your customers, your staff and your IT team will each meet it. EduControl, the studio's school management platform, is his work from interface to database.
“If your team is working around the software, the software is wrong — not your team.”
How we work
Small team, direct line
The people who scope your project are the people who build it. You talk to the engineer, not an account manager relaying messages.
Working software, early
You see something you can click within the first two weeks, and a new version every week after. Feedback lands while it's still cheap to act on.
Yours to keep
Code in your repository, accounts in your name, documentation written for whoever comes next. No lock-in and no retainer required.
Built for where your users are

What we build
Let's build something useful.
Share a few lines about the product and your timeline. We'll reply with how we'd approach it — and an honest answer on whether we're the right fit.
Every brief is read by Mark Okutu, founder and lead developer, and he replies to each one personally.
